2019 Boot Brush Kick-Off

CG-BBKO-Announcement-'19

We would like to give a BIG thank you our dedicated volunteers for spreading the word on invasive species at this year’s Boot Brush Kick-Off!

With over 20 volunteers, we handed out over 300 packable boot brushes, over 400 Worst Weeds of the Gorge booklets, and connected with over 1500 visitors at various trailheads!

For more information about boot brush stations throughout the Columbia Gorge, check out Cyndi Soliz’s presentation from the 2018 Oregon Interagency Noxious Weed Symposium!

On March 23rd and 24th, the Columbia Gorge Cooperative Weed Management Area and its partners will be “kicking off” hiking season by hosting informational booths near at trailheads throughout the Columbia River Gorge.

Join our efforts to help spread the word (and not weeds!) at various trailheads throughout the Gorge! We need volunteers to hand out flyers and packable boot brushes to hikers and recreationalists to help spread the word on giving invasive species the BOOT!

We would like to have up to 2 volunteers at each trailhead at over 20 trailheads, so feel free to forward the message to anyone who might be interested!

All skill levels welcome!
